Plouffe -- Not Plouffe Daddy

The following is my response to David Plouffe's 3/4/09 opinion piece:
Minority Leader Limbaugh
Washington Post:

Can’t say as I blame Plouffe for this childish rant. But his anger, I believe, is directed not so much at Rush at it is, passive-aggressive style, at Obama, Rahm, and rising stars like Favreau.
This sad column is probably Plouffe’s attempt to flex his skinny arms in front of the White House: “Look what I can do Dad! Now can I come in?”
But as one can see by the 6th grade title (no offense 6th graders) and quality of Plouffe’s editorial, Plouffe lacks the articulate style of Favreau. He’s Robin to Favreau’s Batman. He’s Robin to Rahm’s Joker.
Plouffe was supposedly Boy Wonder (the “unsung hero”) during Obama’s campaign. He was, after all, the one who created The List: The List of Obama supporter email addresses/cell phone numbers which, when activated, is to result, at a moment’s notice, in mass hysterical support for Our Dear Leader.
The funny and unfortunate thing about Plouffe’s brilliant liquid asset – its liquidity; its leakability. While Plouffe may have The List under lock and key, so does by now every member of Obama’s inner circle (not to mention hackers, spies, global terrorists, etc).
Once The List went global, so to speak, Plouffe, who did not graduate from college, and for one reason or another lacked what Rahm was looking for in White House talent and/or “closer” skills, was no longer needed.
Sure he gets glamorous assignments like traveling to Azerbaijan and is given free hats – like the one handed to him by the national press for his recent poor showing at the National Press Club.
But he has no reserved parking spot at the White House. And he should get used to that, because material like the above opinion piece won’t earn him a pair of painted white lines with respective nameplate.
